Direct deposit funds from USBank are payable on the 15th and
the last day of each month.
Financial institutions may differ and your personal bank may not post
funds for availability until the next business day following a weekend or holiday.

CFRS Committee Meetings – October Schedule

 The CFRS Benefits Committee will hold its monthly
meeting on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 8:00 a.m.
This meeting will be held at the
CFD General Office, 500 Dalton Ave., Charlotte, NC

The CFRS Investment Committee will hold its monthly
meeting on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 8:00 a.m.
This meeting will be held at the
CFD General Office, 500 Dalton Ave., Charlotte, NC

The CFRS Board of Trustees will hold its quarterly
meeting on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 8:00 a.m.
This meeting will be held at the Charlotte Government Building
600 East 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202

the meeting date, time and venue since these are subject to change.

New Retirees

On October 31^st, U.S. Bank will be mailing the annual TEFRA Notice. The TEFRA Notice informs the recipient of their right to choose or change how much federal income tax is withheld from their pension payment.

• No Action is required. If you do not wish to change your current withholding election you do not need to do anything.

• If you wish to change your Federal (or State) tax withholding election, please complete the Federal Form W-4P that can be found on the IRS.gov website or the CharlotteFireRetire.com website under the Forms tab. For individual State withholding forms, you may visit your state’s Department of Revenue website. For North Carolina residents, the NC State withholding form can also be found on the CharlotteFireRetire.com website.

  Return completed forms (including your signature and date) to the CFRS office via fax at 704-626-7365; mail at CFRS, 428 E. Fourth St, Suite 205, Charlotte NC 28202; or email at cfrs@charlottenc.gov. You may also return your forms to USBank to the address or fax number provided.   ** Please note that when sending anything via email, do not include your full social security number on the form. The last 4 digits of your SSN would suffice.

Address Changes – Did you move? Are you moving?

Please remember that whenever you move, either temporarily or permanently, it is important
to let us know by submitting a change of address form. You may obtain a form by contacting
the CFRS office at 704-626-2728, visiting our website at charlottefireretire.com\Forms, or
calling USBank at 1-800-843-2399 M-F 6am-7pm.

Keeping your address information current, helps with proper tax withholding and ensures that
you receive your benefit timely. Verbal or email notifications, nor USPS forwarding order stickers
on a return envelope do not satisfy authorization of change requirements.
