After an extensive search process by the Board and with the assistance of professional recruiters from Korn Ferry, the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Edward A. Jarvis as the next administrator of the CFRS.
Ed Jarvis brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, having spent many years in the field of pension administration. His background includes a strong track record in managing complex pension plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering strategic guidance to plan sponsors. Ed’s approach emphasizes transparency, member service, and long-term sustainability, values that align closely with the mission of the CFRS.
The Board believes Ed’s leadership will continue to strengthen the organization’s governance, enhance member trust, and position the CFRS for continued growth and innovation in the pension sector. His appointment reflects the Board’s commitment to attracting and retaining top talent in a competitive industry.

Next Steps: Ed will be relocating with his family from Alaska to Charlotte and will begin his duties on August 17th. He will work alongside Sandy Thiry ensuring continuity and a smooth transition leading up to her retirement September 30, 2026.
