***Changes made on the U.S. Bank Retiree Portal before December 7th
will be effective for the December 15th payment.
Changes made on the U.S. Bank Retiree Portal between December 8th and December 22nd
will be effective for the December 31st payment.
Direct deposit funds from USBank are payable on the 15th and the last day of each month.
Financial institutions may differ and your personal bank may not post funds for
availability until the next business day following a weekend or holiday.
CFRS Committee Meetings – December Schedule
The CFRS Benefits and Investment Committees has cancelled their meetings for December 12th and 19th.
They will resume with their scheduled meetings in January 2025.

Tickets are on sale now at the Credit Union as well as Headquarters. Ticket prices are $75.00 per person as long as you purchase them before January 1st. On January the 1st, prices will increase to $90.00 per person.
Rooms are also available now at $189.00 per night and can be booked by calling the Omni Reservations direct or following the link below. If you are calling them direct, tell them you are booking for the “Charlotte Firefighters Gala” on February 22nd in Charlotte, NC.
Please don’t give this link out to anyone other than Active and Retired employees of the Charlotte Fire Department who will be attending the event as there are a limited number of rooms.
Please note any correspondence regarding the Retirement System and its benefits are sent from the CFRS office by the staff (cfrs@Charlottenc.gov). Our correspondences typically include information such as the monthly reminders, death announcements, retiree drop ins, CFD graduations/promotions and / or other CFD community activities.
Should you receive any correspondence from anyone other than the CFRS staff regarding the System and/or its benefits, it has not been approved by this Office or Board. We do not provide any individual, group, or organization your email information unless you elected to share your information with the Fire Department’s General Office for the purpose of administering your dental/vision plan.
