Camp Ignite educates and inspires high school girls to follow their dreams by introducing them to a future of limitless opportunities. The curriculum provides a safe, dynamic, and interactive environment to introduce campers to the fundamentals of firefighting and ignites courage, confidence, and character. Campers train alongside female firefighters as we break down barriers and stereotypes in a male-dominated career.
Camp Hornets Nest welcomes boys in grades 9-12. Through this program, we provide high school boys with the opportunity to learn more about careers in firefighting. The program teaches teamwork, responsibility, and leadership. Activities in the program will demonstrate that participants must work as a team to succeed.
Both Camp Ignite and Camp Hornet’s Nest are FREE, eliminating any financial obstacles to participate, and that’s why we are asking for your support. Operating these camps takes a significant investment from our department. Contributions of any amount are welcomed and sincerely appreciated.
